Preserve a stage’s values, sampling grid, dtype, and channel names.
Use Identity() as a JointObservation branch to retain the shared stage directly. Passing it as a BOLD monitor’s explicit downsample also selects the actual incoming grid instead of that monitor’s default temporal averaging.
